Dresdner Robin was responsible for developing the concept plan for this mixed-use building, transit station, and pedestrian plaza. Dresdner Robin provided Redevelopment Planning, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Environmental Services for this major transit-oriented site in Downtown Jersey City.
As the Lead Civil Engineer for the project, Dresdner Robin managed the design and development of all utility systems. Dresdner Robin coordinated the design of the new transit station and utility systems with a host of authorities, obtained all necessary approvals and appropriately staged the construction process.
Dresdner Robin’s responsibilities included Environmental due diligence investigations, the preparation of a Preliminary Assessment Report, and soil and groundwater remedial investigations. Prior to demolition, Dresdner Robin conducted asbestos surveys consisting of the collection and laboratory analysis of potential asbestos containing materials in building structures. The findings of the asbestos survey were presented in an asbestos specification which was used to solicit proposals from asbestos abatement companies.
Three (3) Underground Storage Tanks were encountered during construction activities and removed. All three (3) UST Removal Reports were submitted to the NJDEP Cleanup Star Program. No Further Action (NFA) letters were issued by the NJDEP for each report within two (2) weeks of submission. Dresdner Robin also prepared a Remedial Action Workplan, Soil Reuse Plan, Deed Notice for soil contamination and a Classification Exception Area for groundwater contamination.
Dresdner Robin also provided Environmental
